- Milestone Anniversaries for Beavers and Cubs
Celebrating Significant Birthdays
This year marks two important milestones within the Scout Organisation. Firstly, we are proud to celebrate the official 40th birthday of the Beavers.
Additionally, this year is also the 110th birthday of the Cubs.
These anniversaries highlight the enduring legacy and impact of both sections over the years.
There will be celebratory badges for both sections to wear during 2026. - 26th April — St Georges Day Parade – Manor Park, Sutton – All sections
The dates above are important events in 8th Cheam’s calendar. Some of them help with, or raise funds for, the group’s many maintenance projects.
These occasions not only mark key moments throughout the year but also play a vital role in supporting the ongoing upkeep of our facilities. By participating in these events, members and supporters contribute directly to the sustainability and improvement of the group’s resources, ensuring that essential maintenance projects can be carried out effectively.
The dates on the 2026 Group Diary do not include all the regular weekly meetings or many of the activities which only affect one section of the Group, there wouldn’t be enough room to list them all!
