Scouts are young people between 10½ to 14 years old. They are encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities as part of their programme.

“Participation” rather than meeting set standards is the key approach and for the Scout who wants to be recognised for his or her achievements there are a number of Challenges Awards and Activity Badges.

When do our Scouts meet?

Scouts meet between 7.15 – 9.15pm on Monday evenings (during school term).

What do our Scouts do?

Scouts aims to build and develop young people’s confidence, sense of adventure and outdoor skills, as well as encouraging them to explore their attitudes and creativity.

They can take part in a wide range of activities including traditional Scouting skills, such as camping, orienteering, pioneering and cooking as well as a wide range of other adventurous activities.

Scouting is about being with friends, as part of a team, and participating fully in the adventure that will give them the  ‘skills for life’.

How do you join our Scouts?

If you would like to join, just get Mum, Dad or the person who looks after you to email us, at the address below, with your name and age and we will forward an application form to you or why not just come along to one of our meetings… and we’ll take it from there.
