St George’s Day Parade
The District will be hosting this years St George’s Day Parade and Promise renewal
In: Manor Park, Sutton.
On : Sunday 26th April 2026
Meet at: 10.30 am
The overview of the event is that:
Meet in Manor Park on the Sunday morning 10.30am
The Parade will form up from 10.30am at the lower end of Manor Park, Sutton to march off at 11.00am along Sutton High Street.
The head of the Parade will be nearest to the children’s playground and the assembly positions of each Group will be marked out accordingly.
The service, held after the parade, will last approx 20 minutes.
All members are requested to wear full and correct uniform ( sweatshirts for Beavers and Cubs, shirts for Scouts; Group scarf and woggle; navy blue/dark trousers; belts (scouts); black shoes and dark plain socks.
If the weather looks inclement coats should be brought and may be carried. A final decision on whether to carry or wear them will be made by the Parade Marshall before the start. Bad weather is not an excuse for not turning out!
NOTE: Unless we have rain, we will not be wearing coats so we advise that an extra layer is worn under the uniform!
and a final note…If there are any parents that could help walk with the children it would be much appreciated!
