St. Georges Day Parade

Scouting’s National DayStGeorgessmll19

St Georges Day
Sunday 28th April 2019
at 10.00am

St. George is the Patron Saint of Scouting and each year Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers from all over the British Isles gather in their Counties and Districts to take part in Parades and Services to celebrate Scouting’s National Day.

This year’s St Georges Day Parade and Promise Renewal will take place

  • At: 11.00am on Sunday 28th April
(look out for our Group Flags).
  • Parade will move off promptly at 10:30am.
  • This will be followed by a short service (about 20min)
(where all Sections will renew their promise)

Full Uniform must be worn, including navy activity trousers and black school shoes. We would also suggest that everyone, just in case of inclement weather, brings a coat.

This Parade is probably the only opportunity we have during the year to show that Scouting is alive and well in Sutton and I do urge all members of our Group to attend this important event.

As parents/guardians, you may attend the ceremony and accompany the Parade, although not walking within the Parade itself.

We look forward to meeting you all there.
